The article presents an analysis of the pedagogical ideas of A. S. Makarenko from the perspective of modernity. We are talking about the pedagogical phenomenon of A. S. Makarenko, about the uniqueness of his pedagogical technologies and the cyclical nature of their demand at a certain time.
